A Year without Buying!

Over the last several (7!) years that I've been scrapbooking and cardmaking, I have amassed a huge quantity of crafty goodies. I'm talking over a foot of cardstock, about two feet of patterned paper, 70ish ink pads, 2 football fields worth of ribbon, more paper flowers than I can shake a stick at, and punches a plenty. There's no shortage of supplies here!

This summer I took a look around my scrap office and realized that I could probably go without buying anything for a full year. So I decided to try it! On August 1st of this year, I started a year long spending ban. Yikes! I'm not sure I can do it, but one month down, 11 to go and I'm doing okay.

My goal is to spend $0 on supplies and I don't think I'll even need to buy adhesive. I have 12 rolls of ATG tape and those last me a good long time. I have to confess though, I did buy a few things to make sure I could make it the entire year. I bought cricut and 12" trimmer blades, 2 12x12 albums (for 2010 and 2011 pages), several packages of pages protectors, black and white cardstock and an extra glue pen to keep me going.

I hope I make it!
